Did your attorney screw up? Did you get more time as a result of the bad advice? You have up to two years after sentencing to challenge your attorney's work.

Was your sentence too harsh because you and your attorney did not present enough mitigation at your sentencing hearing? Did the Judge have an opportunity to consider all the positive aspects or your life and all of the good things you have done? You have 60 days after your sentence to ask the trial Judge to reconsider and lesson your sentence. Don't delay, call right away!

If you find yourself convicted and in jail, don't despair!  You have one automatic right to have your case reviewed by an Appellate Court in either State of Federal system. I have a 90% success rate on the appeals I have agreed to take on. If you are poor, and have no money to finance an appeal, some of the costs will be paid by the government. It takes about 2 years to get a result on an appeal. There is no way to expedite an appeal even if you are in confinement. The sooner you file the appeal, the better. Most appeals must be filed within 30 days of your sentence.
